Defibrillators

Public Access Defibrillators are located

In Mattingley at:
The Mutton
The Leather Bottle
Hound Green K6 phone box.

In Heckfield at
The New Inn
Heckfield Village Hall.

They are registered with the Circuit (National defib network) which also connects to South Central Ambulance Service. On calling 999 and giving your location the operator will identify your nearest defib and give the code for the door of the yellow cabinet.

All these devices are Zoll AED Plus fully automatic. Press the 'on/off' switch and the defib will give instructions.
Adult electrode pads are already connected inside the defib case, need to open the green case and remove from plastic bag wrapping. Scissors if needed, and if needed to cut clothing, are in the end pocket of the black carry bag.

For children under eight, the adult pads need to be unplugged and the pediatric pads - in box in the carry case - removed from packing and plugged in in their place.

There are various instruction and training videos online, including from Zoll Medical and from St John Ambulance, eg
